I hope you all had a great day yesterday. The boys were up at 7am to open their stocking presents before we all headed down at 8am for the main the event.
We set off for Linda and Dave's at around 11am and had a great lunch.
I was feeling pretty good and ate reasonably well - just unbelievably tired which meant I snoozed away much of the afternoon (with Father-in-law) and evening (just me!).
Slept until 11:30am this morning so may be a little more with it at Jeff and Pauline's this afternoon.
The cough has all but gone and I am not vomitting at the moment. My chest feels a little sore - probably a combination of the coughing and the stent settlting in. Back pain has migrated to be a nagging pain under right shoulder blade which even the Codeine does not take much off.
We are due to travel for Julia's cousin Diane's wedding on Monday - at present it is probably doubtful that I will make it.

Thanks for your Merry Christmas posting Clive. I am in Slovakia with Monika's folks this year, where every meal starts with soup (well almost every meal). Christmas breakfast involves quite a spread of meats and a glass of a strong alcoholic drink (Russian vodka I think it was). The main Christmas meal is fish as opposed to turkey (after the soup of course).
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Clive! Glad you have had great fun with your family. As with most Italian families the main event starts on Christmas Eve with an all fish dinner. Friends and family were on hand to get the tree finished, yes we don't decorate the tree until Christmas Eve!(It does add a great deal of stress) Felicia had to work both Christmas Eve and Christmas day so the opening of the presents on Christmas Day was a little crazy.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the shoulder have you tried heat. It may only give temporary relief but anything is always helpful.
Miss chatting live, lets plan on doing that right after the new year. Have a very Happy New Year.
My best
Deb
Although just a bit late, I hope you had a nice New Year! We all hope you get to see the next one too. Keep us all in your thoughts as well - it helps to know that many, many others are thinking of you too.
ReplyDeleteClive, sorry I haven't been in touch recently. We were at the Reading v Liverpool match yesterday (an uncharacteristic 1-1 draw)and thought of you as Peterborough took a tonking from Spurs. Hope you're keeping your pecker up (and if not I know of some little blue pills that will help). Kindest regards, Pete
