Whilst in the hospital recovering from low blood cell counts and a high temperature/infection we met with my Oncologist to find out the results of my latest CT scan. Unfortunately the new chemo regime has not been successful and so no real curative treatment options remain. After a difficult conversation in a 4 bed hospital room it is evident that I now have just months remaining.......a pretty sobering thought - particularly when I think about my boys!
I am writing this a few days later after getting out of hospital and having had a little time to reflect. It doesn't make things easier, but it does make me determined to spend what time I have left with Julia and boys!

- I was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer on October 13th 2008. On 1st July after 9 rounds of 2 different types of chemotherapy this was confirmed as untreatable giving me a matter of months to live.
