Thomas and Alex bought and have been racing small remote control cars called X Mods (http://www.xmods.uk.com/index1.htm). There is a club that meets in Matlock on a Monday and having picked them up a few times I decided to get myself a car and join them.
Needless to say it is harder than it looks (well except for everyone else). Over 3 heats the top guys manage well over 40 laps - I did 16. Still a good night out was had with the boys. The cars themselves are able to be tinkered with and modified to a geeks delight! Alex has just had his car converted to 4 wheel drive.
On a slightly more active note I brushed the cobwebs off my bicycle and manage to bike for about 6 miles - shame it's so damn hilly round here.
