Update and Geocaching!

It's been another busy week.

On Sunday Alex's team drew 2-2 with Matlock Phoenix in a really exiting game.
Later watched the Manchester Derby with Linda, Dave and the boys - well to be fair Dave and I actually watched the game. It's fair to say he was gutted with a last minute winner for Man Utd.....oh well there's the breaks. We then had a fantastic meal at a Japanese/Asian resturant in Chesterfield.

Alex and I went to the Xmods club on Monday - I was only 2 laps behind his 3-heat total. Tom was off sick on Monday so did not join us.

Tuesday we all hit the hot tub and Posh beat Newcastle in the Carling cup....hoping for a "big" team in the draw on Saturday.

Wednesday we had the chimey swept and the house valued.....always wanted to know what it would be worth in the current climate.
Later we found our first "cache" whilst out Geocaching (http://www.geocaching.com/). My brother Russie introduced us to this activity and it's a great idea for everyone. We walked about 3 miles and found the cache hidden in the undergrowth.

Whilst feeling great physically I've had a few low moments thinking about when the good times will end and I'll start feeling crap again....at the moment that seems more of a worry than the actual dying bit.

  1. Clive, I look forward to your posts and you have me interested in the geocaching, especially since there is an iphone application for it. I expect my 5 year old Mikey will love to try that. I hope you have your iphone now?

Sorry to hear about the lows. It is hard to imagine how you come to terms with everything, but I for one am interested in how you do cope every step of the way and want to offer my moral support. If you are unsure whether and what to post, my view is the more you put up here the better.

Here is to the good times.

    John

  2. Many thanks John...a few times I question whether folks out there want to hear about the mundane stuff, however at the moment it doesn't really feel mundane. I'll continue to post every day stuff and I'm sure sometimes some of the underlying thoughts will come out.

I do now have an iPhone and the iPhone geocaching application is good. I think the whole idea is excellent - it gives a real purpose to going out for a walk. Like many things in life I now wish I'd discovered it sooner!
