Good visit with Dr Kulkarni this morning. The good part being that the bone scan showed no indications that the cancer has spread to my bones. What it did show was evidence of arthritis in my lower back – almost certainly the cause of the back pain I have been suffering for the last couple of months. Whilst making me feel like an old man this does offer up further treatment possibilities for the back pain and as such I’ll be visiting my GP hopefully tomorrow (as I write Julia is trawling the internet for information on back pain and arthritis).
Made an appointment to see Dr. Elvis again on the 13th January primarily to review my eating to determine if the endoscopic radiotherapy is then required.
One of the few times Julia and I have walked back to the car from the hospital smiling and laughing! Funny old world.
On the leisure front I will be playing snooker with Jeff and Clive on Friday and heading to Peterborough to watch Posh vs. Middlesbrough on Saturday. The Croughton 4 will be visiting on Friday 11th December - better lock up the Shetland ponies!
